Firefighters continue to work hard to protect Yellowstone National Park resources, including a power line that runs through the park.
In this picture, a firefighter is clearing brush around a power pole with a pulaski, one of the original firefighting tools (and still one of the most useful today!). Fire managers have also used feller bunchers to remove fuels near the power lines.
If you're wondering what it means for firefighters to "remove fuels" during a firefighting operation, check out #3 on our, "What Do you Mean By...?" page.
