Great news: Mud Volcano is open again! The popular tourist destination is located between Hayden Valley and Fishing Bridge along highway 89. To learn more about Mud Volcano, check out this cool video on the Yellowstone National Park website.
Remember: public, firefighter, and employee safety is always the primary concern of fire managers. Mud Volcano may close again if rangers decide that it's not safe to be there. Be heads up and fire aware!
